I’ve had a Cricut machine for a couple of years or so now, and i’ve always loved it. I tend to just use it to cut letters in a couple of my favourite fonts, but now the whole world has opened up! I’ve bought the Sure Cuts a Lot software by CraftEdge.
I use it on my Mac, but you do need a PC to upgrade the firmware on the Cricut machine which is a bit of a pain for all us Mac Addicts. The latest version allows you to weld letters and words together and it’s so easy to use your fonts you already have.
You can also create any kind of artwork as a SVG file for cutting. I’ve got a few standard ones already such as scallops which are just so versatile, and I love that I can just scale them to any size. We’ll be offering these files as downloads on the website over the next few weeks.
Has anyone else tried this? Let us know what you think of it…

What kind of cable do you need to connect the computer to the Cricut? I never see this mentioned in any information about using Sure Cuts a Lot.

You need a standard USB Cable, available from electronics stores / supermarkets / online.
Hope that helps!
