We’ve had a lot of interest in our Digi Classes that we’re running, so I thought I’d post a few details here.

Photo Editing Tricks Class

• For the Photo Editing Tricks class we will be using Photoshop Elements. I personally use a Mac so that’s what I know, but there is not a lot of difference beteen the Mac and pc versions so if you use a pc it’s not a problem.
• We do not assume ANY knowledge of Photoshop Elements or Photoshop in the Photo Editing Tricks class. We literally start at the beginning which is one of the reasons why it is an all day session. We lay down really strong foundations for you to build on.
• We do ask that you have Photoshop Elements installed when you arrive. If you do not already have it there are a few options. Computer Tricks for Scrapbooking 2 has a free demo disc included. This would also be a great resource to have at home for after the class to jog your memory about things. You can also download a 30 day trial from the Adobe website.
• We can set up desktop machines as well as laptops if you need to bring your desktop.
• You will get the chance to work on some of your own photographs.
• The class starts at 10am, and runs until about 4pm. We do include lunch, and yes, you can shop in the shop during the lunch break.
• Spaces are limited in this class as we need to make sure everyone has space, and power! Please book early to guarantee your place.

Not sure if you really want to do digi? Neither are we! There’s no need to abandon paper scrapbooking, and this class focusses on editing your photos, so that you can get them printed off and use them for anything. Not sure if you want to buy Photoshop Elements? Download a 30-day trial from the Adobe website, and use that during the class, you can make the decision afterwards if you like it.

Digi: My First Layout

Digi: My First Layout Class

• We ask that you attend Photo Editing Tricks first to ensure that you know the tools and techniques that we will use in this class. As it is only a 2-hour session we won’t have time to cover the basics and finish the page.
• We will be using Photoshop Elements. I personally use a Mac so that’s what I know, but there is not a lot of difference beteen the Mac and pc versions so if you use a pc it’s not a problem. Here’s a preview of the Digi: My First Layout Class. This 2hour session is a great introduction to digital scrapbooking. We’ll show you how to use a digital kit to create a fully digital layout.

The class can be completed in a number of colourways including the blue as seen above.

We’ll be concentrating on the tools and techniques needed to begin Digital Scrapbooking. The techniques learnt in this class can be used time and time again to create an unlimited number of layouts.

On January 18th (10am-4pm), we are running Photo Editing Tricks. This is an All Day class, where I introduce you to Photoshop Elements, and show you how to improve your photographs. I have been using Photoshop for 10 years now, and will show you how to use Photoshop Elements to:

• Brighten Photos
• Darken Photos
• Create a Photo Vignette
• Correct Colour Casts
• Black and White Conversion
• Create a Sepia Tone
• Duotoning
• Colour Popping

On January 21st (7-9pm) we are running Digi: My First Layout. This is a 2 hour session where we create a layout completely digitally. This is a great starter class for anyone interested in Digital Scrapbooking. Most of the techniques used in this class are introduced in Photo Editing Tricks, which is recommended before this fast paced session.

We will be using Photoshop Elements 6 on a Macintosh Computer. If you have a PC it may look slightly different.

In order for you to be comfortable with the machine you are using, please bring your machine to the class. This also means you will be able to use all of your own photographs during the class. Unfortunately we are unable to provide machines for use.

The All Day class session runs from 10am-4pm, includes lunch, and costs £40.00.

Hi Everyone,

We are so excited about our first “I’m not a Scrapbooker, get me out of here!” Evening tonight. We have had lots of interest and we can’t wait to meet your husbands, boyfriends, partners, sons, daughters, or any non scrapper this evening!
