Printing A5 Pages

Most of the PDFs we produce are designed to fit inside our Scrapbook Planners. The planners are A5 sized to make them easy to use. The easiest way to print them out is to use A5 paper, you can just use your trimmer to cut your normal A4 printer paper in half, no special supplies needed.

How to print out A5 PDFs for your planner:

  1. Cut down some A4 paper to A5, or use A5 paper.
  2. Put A5 paper into printer.
  3. Open PDF files in Adobe Reader (I’ve got version 8).
  4. Go to File – Page Setup.
  5. Change Paper Size to A5.
    paper size
  6. Go to File – Print
  7. That’s it!

If you are trying to print something else out that is not A5, when you print,

  1. Select Shrink to Printable Area.
    shrink to fit
  2. Press Print.

You can also select which pages to print, so you can print all your odd numbered pages first, then put your paper back into the printer and print your even sides, they will then fit inside like a book, printed on both sides.

I Love My Planner!

I love my planner because it gives me a place to doodle, write, sketch and be inspired even when I’m no where near my scrapbooking stuff. It keeps the creativity flowing, so when I’m on the bus or train I can flip through and find something I want to try when I get home. I find it keeps the excitement in scrapbooking, I spend time looking through all the layouts and details I stick in, then i immediately feel I want to go home and try it out! The sketch pages are great, letting you plan every little details with a nice big space to draw or stick in other layouts. The journaling pages have plenty of room to let your thoughts flow, and gives you the freedom to think and edit things before finally doing the real page. It helps me feel prepared on days where I just can’t motivate myself to start.

As exepcted, the diary pages are great for keeping track of things, and the little box on each page is handy to pop a little inspiration or something you want to try that week, a little challenge to keep up with. I also like using the “to do” list pages as a “to buy” list… there’s something nice about writing down the scrappy stuff you’d like and tick if off when you get round to buying it! And finally, the pockets at the front and back are very useful for slotting those everyday bits and bobs, notes or even photos that you’re looking to plan a layout around.

So thats why I love my planner!

Planner Sketch 01

OK, so the year is starting to settle down, people are back at work, kids are back at school, and your diary is looking a bit more normal. You’ve got a fab new scrapbooking planner, or a whole new 2009 pack in your planner, and you’ve got these two boxes at the top of every week. What on earth to do with them?

We intentionally left them blank so you can use them for anything, glue/staple a picture from a magazine in there? an inspiring scrapbook layout? a little map of a fab new scrapbook shop you’ve found? a quick little self portrait? a fabulous sketch that’s just popped into your head? the choice is yours.

If, however, you’re a little stuck, grab the download below and print it directly into the space. The PDF we’ve got for you here is sized for A5 paper (the same as your scrapbook planner) and the sketch is in exactly the right place for the little box. We’ve got 4 pages in the PDF so you can print the sketch on the left or right page, and we’ve got an example of a layout using the sketch that is also available on the left and right hand sides.

Simply choose the page you want, pop your planner sheet in your printer and voila, a little scrapbooking inspiration for the week.

Strokable…

These new planners are just gorgeous. There are some photos of the Red, Bubblegum, Lime and Turquoise planners which are our favourite colours at the moment. Great feel good colours.

You can also see how full they are when you receive them, there’s plenty in there for you.

There’s still time to get one before Christmas, call into the shop today before 5pm to pick up your favourite, or order online before noon so we can get this in the post to you today!

Have an organised 2009

Our 2009 Planners have been redesigned. We’ve streamlined some of the pages, and created our own diary pages. Each week is split across 2 pages, with appointment times, and space for all those TO DO lists we accumulate. Theres also space at the top for a sketch (Keep an eye in the blog for those), or a place for an idea, print something from the Internet, or cut something out of a magazine.

I’ll be hoping to use this space for a bit of weekly inspiration.

We’ve got 2 great new colours, Lime and Turquoise, so grab one while they are in stock.
