Postal Strike
Posted in The Website and tagged with delivery options, postal strike, royal mail, scrapbook on 10/21/2009 01:07 pm by Willow Tree CraftsIt looks like Royal Mail will be on strike for 48 hours at the end of this week. We also expect post to be delayed for quite a while due to the backlog that will no doubt build up.
We have added a couple of new shipping options to the site to give you more choice about how to receive your orders.
Our Standard Delivery will still be sent out by Royal Mail. Please note that while we may stamp it and take it to thepost office, we cannot be sure when it will actually be collected from the post office or when it will arrive with you.
We have also added a courier service. This is a 3-5 day service but is not effected by the Royal Mail strike.
We also have a Local Collection service. This is a new service that delivers to local collection points across the country. These collection points are a selection of over 3000 local stores. Your package will be delivered to you local store where you can collect at your convienience. No need to wait in all day, and most collection points are open 7 days a week, from early in the morning until late at night.. No more being left out in the rain or folded to try to fit through a letterbox. As soon as your package is available for collection you will be emailed. If you would like to receive a text message to inform you please add your mobile telephone number to your details.
We are working on fully integrating this system into the website to allow you to choose a collection point, until this is available we will ship to the closest point to your shipping address.
We hope you are able to find a suitable delivery for your scrapbook goodies,
