Lickity Slip 365

Anyone doing Project 365? The idea is that you take a photo every day of the year. It seems like a great time to start.

Becky Higgins is trying it this year, and has (or had) a kit by Creating Keepsakes to go with it.

I love the idea, and know that there is no way I’ll get chance to do a layout each day with my photo, but I like the idea of a weekly layout with 7 pictures. I’m looking at sketches for 7 photos, (Becky Higgins to the rescue again with the Best of Becky Higgins Sketches) and I’d like to just use the same format each week. I can manage a layout a week can’t I?

At the moment I think I’ll see how January goes. So far I’ve got photos of the little man for Jan 1st and 2nd, so I need to get one tonight when I get home, and hopefully if I can get through January the habit will be formed and I’ll make it through the year.

It also means I’m not making any firm decisions about what album to use before then either. I love the American Crafts albums as always, perhaps even an 8.5×11 and try digital layouts. With a couple of templates I could probably whip up pages in no time, of course the couple of templates will probably take me a week to do, and its just not as much fun for me.

Another option is the Bazzill Lickity Split Albums. Lickety Slip Albums let you scrapbook as much as you want and store as many photos as you want. You can use either 12×12 page protectors, or the divided Lickity Split Page Protectors, so I could just drop photos in, or do a full layout. Choose how you want the photo sleeves arranged in this easy to use D-ring binder.

hmmmmm, decisions decisions.

Let us know what you’re doing!

What’s going on?

Hi Everyone!

Another week done and dusted – before we all know where we are, it’ll be Christmas!

It’s been another manic time at this end and we’ve had quite a few deliveries over the last couple of days that I wanted to bring you up to speed with.

29th Market Street papers are all online now and are beautiful in texture, colour and design. You will not be disappointed!

Many of the Autumn Leaves Clear StampsĀ  are back in stock (though probably not for long if last time is anything to go by) so get ordering quickly as we know these will sell out soon again.

Bazzill Card stock- we’ve had some re-stocks of these incredibly popular and versatile card stocks.

We’ve got some other exciting things coming up in the next week or so, so stay tuned for more information.

Why not pop into the Watford Shop to see us and see what’s new? Remember we are open Fridays and Saturdays 10am to 5pm.

Finally for this update, I wish you all a fabulous weekend and I’ll “speak” to you again soon.

Simple Sweet

Baby Boy

Supplies:

  • White Cardstock
  • Black Cardstock
  • Blue Cardstock
  • Letter Stickers American Crafts Hat Box
  • Cricut and Jasmin Font
  • 4×12 Panoramic Photo

A simple and quick layout highlighting a special photo. This would be equally as effective with pink cardstock for a baby girl.

Trim the black cardstock to create a white border to frame the page. I trimmed the panoramic photo to extend beyond the black layer but not the white border, but you may prefer it to be the same width as the black cardstock. Use the letter stickers to create your title, and the cricut to cut the “Baby Boy” I used Jasmine Italic at 2.5inches. That’s all, a strking layout in a matter of minutes.

We’d love to see your versions of this layout, post a link to yours in the comments below.
